Benetti FB286 Yacht Will Be First B.Now 60M Project

In about four years’ time, the buyers of the first Benetti B.Now 60M series superyacht will begin cruising. Since the name of their yacht is confidential for now, she’s known as the Benetti FB286 yacht (her hull number).

If you’re not already familiar with the B.Now projects, Benetti created them with the design studio RWD. The idea is to provide owners and their families with more home-like amenities to enjoy while they pursue long-term stays onboard. The shipyard has already splashed two B.Now 50M projects, including the yacht Alunya earlier this year. Additionally, it signed a contract for the first B.Now 72M in June.

As a B.Now 60M, the Benetti FB286 yacht is 197 feet (60 meters) in length. She further has the optional Oasis Deck, which offers several benefits. For instance, it has a flush-deck, integrated pool near the water’s edge but still part of the social space. Fold-down platforms create a terrace-like deck area that’s also high enough to provide protection from waves. Lastly, but most importantly, the Oasis Deck is a cohesive social space from the saloon straight to the sea.

So, what does this actually translate to in terms of usable areas? The owners, their family, and their friends will have an envious 1,410 square feet (131 square meters) of beach area alone. This beach area is part of an overall 2,174 square feet (202 square meters) of relaxation and entertainment space, too, on the main deck.

Although the shipyard has not indicated what the owners want in terms of the interior ambience, they are working with Benetti’s own interiors division. Styling, meanwhile, is by RWD, which created the full B.Now series and the Oasis Deck with Benetti.

Benetti further hasn’t revealed whether the yacht will have diesel-electric propulsion, which other owners have chosen, or traditional propulsion. However, it does say delivery should take place in 2027.
