Following in the footsteps of the first Benetti B.Now 50M, Irinya, the Alunya yacht launch in early May has grown the steel-hulled series family. She’s actually the second so far with the coveted Oasis Deck, too.
The Oasis Deck transforms the traditionally enclosed transom into an open-air beach club with fold-down platforms. An infinity pool further sits in the center of the social area. Owners can outfit the Oasis Deck with loose lounges and/or fixed sunpads. Guests additionally can access watertoys from the opened platforms, or use deploying swim steps to take a dip in the ocean. In total, the Oasis Deck offers 969 square feet (90 square meters) of living space.
Versatility is the watchword for the interior configuration, too. Since the B.Now 50M Oasis Deck is semi-custom, the yacht Alunya adheres to her owners’ lifestyle. While they could have had six staterooms accommodating 12 passengers, for instance, they opted instead for a smaller head count. Ten guests—including themselves—get five staterooms. For their suite, the owners situated it on the main deck, a popular choice. It has a study, along with a private terrace. Their friends and family have accommodations entirely on the lower deck.

Although no details are available on the ambience onboard, the owners collaborated with Benetti’s own interior-design department, HUB Design. One thing we do know, however, is that the main saloon sits aft on the main deck. It’s purposely to make the most of seeing and using the Oasis Deck.
With a 30-foot (9.2-meter) beam, the Benetti yacht Alunya isn’t just about enjoying time inside or on deck. Naturally, the owners wanted to carry a good number of watertoys. Several stow in a bow garage, too, including PWCs and an 18-foot (5.65-meter) tender. When the guests want to go ashore or cruise around small harbors, the 10-person crew can launch the tender via a starboard-side hatch.
Sebastiano Fanizza, Benetti’s COO, says, “The B.Now 50 model is certainly one of the most popular models in our history.” The Oasis Deck configuration makes the series especially attractive, he adds, “to offer new options to all owners who enjoy close contact with the sea.”

Noting that the past few years collaborating on the project have been “fun,” the owners’ representative, David Westwood of TWW Yachts, mentions something else. “Despite the multiple interior changes that were made, the yacht has been launched on time and ready for the summer season,” he says.
The owners will take delivery toward the end of July, beginning their first cruise right away.
