UPDATE, JUNE 26, 2024: The first hull of the Baglietto Fast50 yacht series is under contract. Read on for our original article.
“The Fast50 is reintroducing Baglietto to the segment of high-performing yachts,” asserts Fabio Ermetto, sales manager for the Italian builder. Perhaps “reminding” is a better word than “reintroducing,” since “top performances have always been part of our DNA,” he continues. No matter. The Baglietto Fast50 yacht is the new flagship of the all-aluminum, fast-paced series, with more of the little luxuries that cruisers expect.
Comfort and luxury are the priorities, in fact. For years, fast yachts across the entire yachting industry delivered the thrilling speeds that performance-oriented customers enjoyed. However, the projects didn’t always come with comfortable rides. Neither did they deliver the higher-end aesthetics or the lifestyle features that more traditional motoryachts put at clients’ fingertips. Baglietto and Francesco Paszkowski Design keep true to the shipyard’s experience with both speedy craft and cruising-focused craft with the new model.

For example, quadruple 16V MTU 2000 M96L engines promise a top speed of 30 knots. The 164-footer (50-meter) further can take you and your guests for days of harbor hopping at a more modest 20 knots. At that speed, range is 800 nautical miles. It’s more than enough for hitting the main Med ports over the course of a week. Similarly, it’s more than enough to visit multiple sandy Bahamian shorelines in the same period. For those of you who especially enjoy Bahamian cruising, note that draft is a skinny-water-friendly 5’9” (1.8 meters).
Additionally, like the new Baglietto X50 yacht, the Baglietto Fast50 yacht borrows lifestyle features from the shipyard’s T52 series. Full-height windows rimming the upper deck and main deck, for instance, open on three sides. Especially suiting today’s alfresco preferences, the beach area is two levels and fully open air. The transom still folds down, though, becoming the swim platform and opening up the area even more. Furthermore, you’ll find a transformer platform within the opened transom. It replaces the customary passerelle.
Besides all the loose sunning space in the beach area, the new megayacht has dedicated sunpads on the foredeck and forward on the upper deck. A hot tub complements the pretty private foredeck space, too.

If you count those decks and add in the lower deck, where just four guest staterooms sit, you’ll realize the Baglietto Fast50 yacht is a trideck. This is yet another differentiation among performance-oriented megayachts. Many feature just two decks. The extra level affords owners and guests an aerie-like dining area—sitting aft, to take in the views. This frees up the main deck for an ample TV and conversation lounge, along with a full-beam master suite.
Finally, for when the owners of hull number one—who’ll start cruising in 2026—want to head ashore, they have a sizable tender. It’s 23 feet (7 meters) long. It floats out of and back into its garage, too, just aft of the engine room.
