Splash! Atlante Classic 36 Yacht Puts Pool Aft

Why would a build and design team introduce a megayacht model nearly identical to a series it’s still selling? Atlante Yachts, Mengi Yay Yachts, and its design partners wanted to tap into the popularity of onboard pools. Therefore, the Atlante Classic 36 yacht not only has one fully aft, but also can have a hot tub.

The project employs the same high-volume hull design as the Atlante Classic 35 series. (The first hull in that range, the yacht Cabana, just saw delivery in June.) Naval architecture therefore is from Arrabito Naval Architects. Styling is similarly complementary, since both series are by VYD Studio. Since she further has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure like her bigger sister, the new Atlante Classic 36 yacht is unusual among smaller long-range cruisers. So, too, is her anticipated range exceeding 4,000 nautical miles at 9 knots and 10,567-gallon (40,000-liter) fuel capacity.

Superyachts whose sites are set on chasing horizons like this tend to emphasize purpose. Not that they aren’t luxurious, of course. But, they don’t always have some of the features like pools that are increasingly common on traditional large yachts. The pool aboard the Atlante Classic 36 yacht series is an infinity pool, practically at the water’s edge. With no obstructions aft and fold-down bulwarks flanking it, it should appeal to buyers.

Additionally appealing, buyers have the option for a hot tub fully forward on the sundeck. That positioning is pretty enviable. Should owners not want it, though, the standard layout calls for a full-beam sunpad.

With a healthy volume of 338 gross tons and power from efficient Volvo Penta engines, the series still offers owners broad choices. They have say in the layout, décor, and even technical systems.

Delivery can take place in 2027.
