Here’s one of the first photos of Cipitouba II, the latest delivery from Cyrus Yachts. Seen enjoying the Ionian Sea late last week, the semicustom motoryacht, which launched in May, was designed for shallow-water cruising, with a draft of just 1.55 meters (five feet).
Measuring 34.5 meters (113 feet), Cipitouba II is the second Cyrus 34 to hit the water. Just as they did for the first model in the series, René van der Velden and Van Oossanen & Associates blended traditional shapes and modern lines for her exterior.
Inside, anigré paneling envelops each room, and there’s an unusual arrangement for the owner and six guests. The owner’s suite is below decks, accessible via a private staircase leading from the saloon – a different one than the staircase leading to two guest staterooms down here. Forward on the main deck, where you’d expect the master to be, is a VIP cabin with wraparound windows.
Up top, a handful of lounging areas accompany a bar and barbecue, while a foredeck sunbathing and seating area offers another option for enjoying the sun or some quiet time. When watersports are on order, the Opacmare passarelle, which extends from the custom, five-step swim platform, doubles as a swim ladder and even a tender lift. When it’s fully open horizontally, it triples the usable space of the platform.
Twin 1,825-hp Caterpillar V12s reportedly permit an 18-knot cruising speed and 23-knot top speed for the RINA- and MCA-approved yacht. Just as the other Cyrus models feature, Cipitouba II employs zero-speed stabilizers.
