As part of its efforts to expand its sales across the Atlantic, Tecnomar has tapped Denison Yacht Sales to be its exclusive North American sales and marketing partner.
Denison Yacht Sales will field all inquiries from the United States and Latin America, through its U.S. and Mexican offices. In a statement, Alex G. Clarke, a broker with Denison Yacht Sales who is serving as the main contact, says, “U.S. buyers are now looking at different styles and options away from the more conventional American products, and with Tecnomar’s new ownership and vision, we are confident that this will prove to be a very successful relationship for all those involved well into the future.”
Two years ago, a new management team took over Tecnomar, investing a reported €3 million (about $4.3 million) in its megayacht models. Much of it went toward the creation of two series, the Tecnomar Alloy 5083 and Tecnosail. The Tecnomar Alloy 5083 series includes both aluminum and steel megayachts, in planing and full-displacement hull designs from 33 to 56 meters (108 to 184 feet). Meanwhile, the Tecnosail series is comprised of sailing yachts in fiberglass and aluminum. Just three models are offered: 66, 76, and 100, with each numeral referring to the LOA in feet. These two series complement the existing Tecnomar series of fiberglass planing megayachts from 30 to 45 meters (98 to 148 feet).
The latter includes a newly launched Tecnomar Velvet 36 available for sale, similar to the one pictured. At 36.5 meters LOA (about 120 feet), the open-style megayacht accommodates 10 people and three crewmembers. Top speed is reportedly 32 knots, powered by twin 2,600-hp MTUs. Asking price is €7.5 million ($10.6 million).
