Talk about a popular megayacht series: the 30th hull in the Mangusta 108 series was delivered today, following her launch.
The 109’8” (33.48-meter) open-style megayacht stays true to the Mangusta lineage of speedy, sun-worshipping, fiberglass yachts, boasting a reported top speed of 34 knots and a cruise speed of 32 knots. Power is supplied by twin 2,733-hp MTUs coupled to KaMeWa waterjets. As for sunning spaces, there’s a sunpad on the aft deck, atop a hot tub, and of course a big expanse of sunpads on the bow.
Since all Mangustas are open to owner input on the interiors, the owner worked with the in-house team at Overmarine to create a contemporary decor. From the open main deck to the four staterooms (including the master and one stateroom with a pullman), there’s liberal use of pale-grey-stained oak on soles, chrome-plated steel accents, and equally metallic-looking platinum-colored fabrics, all offset by creamy-toned leather overheads. It likely sets quite the scene at the main-deck bar, separating the saloon, which converts for dining, from the helm. Imagine the overall effect, given the 23’3” (7.18-meter) beam. Also imagine the effect when the sliding sunroof is open.
In other Mangusta news, the ninth hull in the Mangusta 165 megayacht series was signed a few weeks ago. The Mangusta 165 is the fastest open-style megayacht made of fiberglass.
