The first AmerCento to join Permare Group’s lineup of megayachts is making more progress toward her debut at the Cannes and Genoa boat shows this autumn. Just recently, the hull and superstructure of the all-fiberglass yacht were joined, and the AmerCento was towed out of her build shed, as the series of photos here shows.
The megayacht gets her name from two key words: “Amer” is a series offered by the Italy-based shipyard, and “Cento” means “one hundred” in Italian. LOA is 97 feet (29.60 meters), and with a beam of 22’10” (7 meters), the AmerCento should be comfortable for her owner’s party of six to 10. Three different general arrangements account for the variance in guest capacity. In one layout, the master, a VIP, and a twin guest stateroom are all below decks, and a formal dining room is fully forward on the main deck. In another, the master is forward on the main deck, resulting in the dining area sharing space with the saloon, and the below-decks guest area includes a full-beam VIP and two twin cabins. In the last option, the full-beam VIP is split into two mirror-image VIPs, with the twins and the master stateroom remaining in the same positions as they are in the second layout option.
With twin 2,000-hp MTUs, the AmerCento is expected to see swift speeds, in keeping with the performance of other Amer family members. Permare Group predicts a top end of 28 to 30 knots, depending on the weight of gear and number of people aboard.
Thus far there are no plans to exhibit the AmerCento stateside, at least this year. However, Permare Group is represented in the United States by United Yacht Sales.
