While some megayacht builders are heading into bigger-boat territory, Couach went a bit smaller with the 2600 Fly. Believe it or not, the 85’10” (26.2-meter) megayacht is the French builder’s first in the 80-foot range.
The 2600 Fly fits in well with Couach’s lineup of yacht and megayacht models from 49 to 164 feet (15 to 50 meters, respectively). She’s constructed of fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar, like the rest of her smaller and larger sisters. She also emphasizes good speed and handling as they do, with twin MANs promising a 22-knot cruise.
The “Fly” part of her name refers to the presence of a flying bridge, partly shaded due to a hardtop. As much as the 2600 Fly invites owners and guests to soak up the alfresco atmosphere, inside there’s plenty to enjoy, too, thanks to a 20’7” (6.3-meter) beam. Interesting enough, the owner of hull number one, which launched in late June, was inspired by the 164-foot Couach La Pellegrina for the four-stateroom general arrangement. Since Couach invites owners to put their imprint on the layout, future 2600 Fly buyers can make individual requests, too.
Look for the first Couach 2600 Fly to debut at the Cannes show in September.
