Based on its experience building motoryachts like Loretta Anne and, of course, a long list of sailing yachts, Alloy Yachts has developed a 154-foot (47-meter) motoryacht project that’s already fully spec’d. The advantage is twofold. First, buyers need only sign the dotted line for build and delivery to occur within two years. Second, Alloy Yachts can offer a project inclusive of everything from engines to navigation electronics for a set price.
The MY47, as Alloy Yachts refers to the megayacht, bears engineering by Dubois Naval Architects and will be built to Lloyd’s classification and LY3 standards. With a beam of 30’2” (9.2 meters) and a draft of 7’2” (2.2 meters), the Alloy MY47 also falls beneath the 500-gross-tons threshold, making things simpler for either private or charter usage.
Realizing that different owners enjoy different configurations, Alloy Yachts and Dubois Naval Architects are offering the MY47 in a flybridge version (top) and a trideck version (above). The former offers an upper deck that can be enclosed with automatically deploying sliding glass on three sides, just like the Alloy sailing yachts Mondango and Kokomo. The forward portion of the trideck’s uppermost area can have an indoor-outdoor setup thanks to sliding glass doors.
Both the flybridge version and the trideck version of the Alloy MY47 feature accommodations for 12 total passengers and eight crewmembers. There are subtle differences in the configuration of the guest and owner staterooms, however. The flybridge version of the megayacht is comprised of three doubles and two twin staterooms, with single pullman berths in each of the twins and a main-deck owner/VIP suite. The trideck has four doubles, one of which is on the aft upper deck, plus two twins, neither including pullmans.
Regardless of configuration, the Alloy MY47 is available with a gym or beach club at the transom, plus three decor packages, termed Manhattan (directly above), Milan (below), and Shanghai. The Manhattan interior evokes traditional yachting images, with dark-stained walnut and blue and green tones predominantly. The Milan package is more modern and monochromatic, with greyed-oak soles. Golds and reds highlight the Shanghai decor.
Whether an owner wishes to travel privately or charter regularly, both the flybridge and trideck versions of the Alloy MY47 feature twin 1,600-hp Caterpillars for an anticipated 14-knot cruise (further translating to a 3,500-nautical-mile range) and 17-knot top end.
