The all-fiberglass Double Deck series that Sunreef Yachts introduced in 2009 has a new model. She’s the 92 Double Deck.
You may recall that there are two other Double Deck models. The first is the Double Deck 102. May 2010 saw the launch of the first in that series, Ipharra. In 2012, the Polish shipyard delivered Houbara, its first 82 Double Deck. “Double Deck” denotes a sailing catamaran with a mezzanine-like level inside the main deck.
The Sunreef 92 Double Deck has been in the works for a while. She started out as the 90 Double Deck around the same time as the ones above were planned on paper but grew. Sunreef did a bit more re-configuring in releasing this updated version.
A 10-month build, the 92 Double Deck will include the same mezzanine section that characterizes the other models in the series. It features the inside helm and is situated to starboard. Opposite will be the galley, open to the saloon. Sunreef says the galley aboard the 92 Double Deck can instead go inside one of the two hulls. Either way, the saloon should provide nearly 571 square feet (53 square meters) of living space. It’s part of an overall 1,076 square feet (100 square meters) of main-deck relaxation space.
The Sunreef 92 Double Deck can boast so much room because of the catamaran configuration. Consider that the beam is a commodious 46 feet (14 meters). Then consider that all living space aboard totals 4,618 square feet (429 square meters), for 12 guests to enjoy.
The general arrangement above shows how guest staterooms and other spaces can be configured. Five guest staterooms, four with queens and one with twins, are situated in the two hulls. Optionally, the 92 Double Deck can have a gym and sauna instead of the twin cabin. Regardless, the master goes forward on the main deck, occupying the full beam. The master’s en suite head and wardrobe area are down a few steps in one of the hulls, too, making good use of available space. If you’re curious how much overall room the master has, it’s 506 square feet (47 square meters).
Alfresco areas include a generous aft deck and a sundeck—and, of course, the trampolines fully forward. Dining can take place either aft or above, as can sunning. The sunpad on the aft deck can further double as the “roof” of a toy garage. Both a primary tender and a PWC can be housed here.
Sunreef Yachts customers are active cruisers in both shallow and deep water. The 92 Double Deck should keep that tradition going, given the 8-foot (2.5-meter) draft. A small crew should be capable of handling the sail package. It includes a 2,583-square-foot (240-square-meter) main sail, 1,938-square-foot (180-square-meter) genoa, and 3,014-square-foot (280-square-meter) gennaker.
