For the seventh consecutive year, Marine Money International is hosting the Superyacht Finance Forum just prior to the Monaco Yacht Show. It’s being held in Monaco’s Auditorium Rainier III on September 23.
Marine Money International publishes a finance magazine and hosts various financial forums around the world. Given ever-changing VAT regulations, lending practices, and more, the Superyacht Finance Forum has become increasingly of interest. Tax specialists, legal advisors, banking representatives, brokers, and more owner’s representatives are among the regular attendees.
This year’s Superyacht Finance Forum will once again shine a light on tax issues affecting cruising, berthing, and charter. Within the past year, regulators in Spain, Italy, and France have all revised their laws on at least one of these matters. Furthermore, some of the laws have raised more questions than they have answered. That’s why the Superyacht Finance Forum will feature a panel of consultants familiar with the new rules to present details.
Another topic at this year’s Superyacht Finance Forum: a presentation by Wealth-X on trends in ultra-high-net-worth consumer spending. Wealth-X compiles research on the world’s wealthiest individuals. It’s an often-cited source for media and luxury companies.
Sure to be of particular interest are two additional presentations. One will be from an owner’s perspective, while another will examine superyacht financing.
Yet a further presentation, on Barcelona’s dramatically expanded yachting-services sector, will examine how investments in infrastructure there may have a ripple effect elsewhere.
MegyachtNews.com is once again a media sponsor of the Superyacht Finance Forum.
