Wakesurfers and wakeboarders are among the biggest fans of MasterCraft boats, several of which have found their way into the watertoy armada of superyachts. But, lifting on and off the mothership isn’t always easy. The Mastercraft Yacht Tender service not only solves the issues, it also tailors finishes, materials, and graphics. It further provides white-glove delivery and global support.
Making its debut at this week’s Monaco Yacht Show, the service is the manufacturer’s first official foray into the yacht-tender market. A MasterCraft X23 will be on display to show interested owners and their teams the possibilities. Specifically, the 23-foot (7-meter) boat, MasterCraft’s flagship, will have factory-installed lifting points. The factory installation is the key. Traditionally, large-yacht buyers of production boats rely upon local dealers to make the modifications. Instead, MasterCraft is incorporating either single- or dual-point lifting setups right when it’s building the boat. This ensures addressing particularly special considerations iearly.
The lifting points will be available on the other X series boats, too, plus other MasterCraft models. For owners and crews seeking a higher level of service, the boatbuilder has a new partnership with Cockwells, a well-known tender name. Together, they are customizing any chosen MasterCraft boat for her mothership. So, for example, the lifting points can be adapted to the gear in a yacht’s tender garage. Colors, materials, graphics, finishes, and other aesthetics are further open to choice. This is especially appreciated by those owners who like their toys to complement their primary yacht.
Additionally, the MasterCraft Yacht Tender team is providing personal instruction for the crew. This covers how to operate the boat safely when towing guests, plus maintenance. Finally, every yacht has her own MasterCraft Yacht Tender Ambassador, who coordinates delivery. Importantly, MasterCraft’s global service network can provide parts or other assistance. About 200 service dealers are in the United States, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Forty-six of them are within 50 miles (about 80.5 kilometers) of the coast.
