Sunreef Yachts believes there’s plenty more interest in multi-hull megayachts. It’s shopping the 150 Sunreef Power Trimaran design around to tap into that.
At 154 feet (57 meters), the 150 Sunreef Power Trimaran is a more manageable length for some owners than her inspiration, the 210 Sunreef Power Trimaran, introduced two years ago. However, due to her tri-hull configuration, the full-composite yacht has far more room than even much larger monohulls. Beam is 62 feet (19 meters). Sunreef says there’s also more than 3,982 square feet (370 square meters) of relaxation areas.
Those relaxation spaces are spread across two decks. Sunreef intends to let owners put their own imprint on the configuration. Of course, it’s offering a suggested layout (below) to start the conversation. The 150 Sunreef Power Trimaran can accommodate an owner’s party of 12 all on the main deck, for example. Fold-down balconies can complement two of the guest staterooms, one to each side of the yacht. There’s no balcony for the owner’s suite, forward to starboard, but no matter. The 150 Sunreef Power Trimaran treats you to a private alfresco area forward. Overall, the master suite occupies 484 square feet (45 square meters). Add in the alfresco area, and there’s an extra 194 square feet (18 square meters).
Because the suggested layout devotes the main deck to staterooms, the saloon, and the dining area, the 150 Sunreef Power Trimaran places the galley below decks. It’s between the engine room and four crew cabins. Crew can walk straight from the tender garage through the engine space and to their accommodations.
Speaking of the engine room, we asked Sunreef what power package the trimaran can carry. The design team says two power packages are available. The standard twin MTUs (16V2000 model) should permit the 150 Sunreef Power Trimaran to 30 knots. The second package, considered a special order, would incorporate waterjet, for anticipated top speeds exceeding 30 knots.
Construction will start on the 150 Sunreef Power Trimaran once a contract is signed.
