Fincantieri Yachts continues to market to mega-size megayacht buyers, with the Vanitas proposal being among its latest enticements.
Vanitas measures 405 feet LOA (123 meters) and rises six decks high. She’s the result of a collaboration once again with Andrea Vallicelli, who styled a previous concept project with Fincantieri called Armonia. Like Armonia, Vanitas is based on a technical platform developed by the Italian yard. That’s why Fincantieri states that Vanitas should see a 20-knot top end under full power and a range of about 6,000 nautical miles at 14 knots.
The video below provides a brief virtual tour of the megayacht. Vanitas has a number of stand-out features, particularly the beach club. It’s among the biggest such spaces we’ve seen proposed to date. The glass-fronted club has even more natural light spilling inside thanks to a skylight, which is actually the bottom of the aft-deck pool. Yet another pool lies inside the beach club, complemented by abundant seating and fold-down terraces to each side. A gym is in here, too. Given the 57’4” (17.5-meter) beam of Vanitas, the rest of the relaxation spaces should not fail to please. We particularly like the inclusion of an alfresco dining area forward on the main deck and the expansive owner’s deck, which is the third level from the top.
Given that buyers of yachts in this size range tend to travel with personal staff, Vanitas has accommodations for six of them. The captain and crew total 52, making for an enviable 2:1 crew-to-guest ratio. Speaking of the crew, nearly the entire lower deck is devoted to them. Tender garages to each side of Vanitas separate the crew accommodations from the beach club. There’s further a mezzanine deck for cold and freezer rooms, stowage, and equipment spaces.
Fincantieri will, of course, work with buyers to personalize Vanitas’ general arrangement. Here are a few possibilities.
