If luxury is what you want, it is what you will get with the concept design Blanche. The Fincantieri project offers the long range megayacht owners want, along with voluminous spaces. Additionally, although she comes from an all-Italian team, she has character traits of a traditional genteel Southern belle.
Fincantieri focuses on super-size superyachts, with deliveries including the 459-foot (140-meter) Ocean Victory in 2014. While Blanche is not nearly as large, she is still ample enough, 229’7” (70 meters), with a beam of 39 feet (12 meters). Fourteen people in the owners’ party, plus 17 crew and staff members, can stay aboard.
The design originates with Studio Gabriele Teruzzi. Gabriele Teruzzi established his eponymous studio in 2016. Although so far he has several designs still as concepts, he has contributed to on-the-water yachts. For instance, prior to creating his own company, he worked for AM Yacht Design, a.k.a. Alberto Mancini’s studio. There, Teruzzi collaborated on Mangusta yachts, among others. Additionally, while still in design school, he created concepts for Filippetti Yachts and Southern Wind Shipyard.
For Blanche, Teruzzi and Fincantieri strove to eliminate as many visual obstructions as possible for owners and guests while inside. Additionally, they wanted a feeling of serenity to infuse each deck. This means not only floor-to-ceiling glass, but also making interior areas feel part of the outside. The beach area (below) is a prime example. Sliding glass doors to the formal dining area open fully, with the waterfall spilling down into the pool enhancing the atmosphere. The eye-catching chandelier above the table, meanwhile, leaves no mistake that fine dining experiences await, too.
A fine ambience characterizes the master suite, too, which in combination with an alfresco area encompasses 2,045 square feet (190 square meters) of pure privacy. For pure bliss, the owners and guests can indulge in 1,356 square feet (126 square meters) of spa treatments and relaxation in the wellness area. It increases to 2,013 square feet (187 square meters) if you take into account the directly accessible alfresco deck space.
Blanche is engineered for a 5,000-nautical-mile range, with a volume of about 1,535 gross tons. And, of course, available for contract.
