While CRN has long built fully custom megayachts, it’s expanding more into semi-custom offerings. Three new models, all 164 feet (50 meters) with a 29’5” (9-meter) beam, are being promoted as a result to global buyers. They’re the Teseo (pictured), Superconero, and Dislopen Special Edition.
The Teseo, Superconero, and Dislopen Special Edition each have different styling, but share some commonalities. All are designed by Studio Zuccon International Project and will meet RINA classification. All further will feature Caterpillar power and top speeds of 15 knots. Best range should be 3,800 nautical miles, according to CRN, at 11 knots.
The Teseo is CRN’s and Zuccon’s interpretation of an expedition yacht. She also offers accommodations for 10 in the owners’ party and seven crewmembers. There are three different general arrangements, though. One of these configurations is pretty traditional. In it, the Teseo has a beach club with fold-down platforms to each side off an additional relaxation area. The platforms can be used to board the tender and toys, which are stowed on the main aft deck. They can further suit simple relaxation at anchor. More sunning and relaxation space is on the upper deck, spread among alfresco and enclosed areas. All guest staterooms are on the lower deck, while the master is forward on the main deck.
The Teseo’s second arrangement preserves the watertoy-stowage spot but turns the beach club into a dive center/stowage area. The saloon becomes an indoor-outdoor area with the main aft deck when the toys are offloaded. The third Teseo configuration has this latter option, too, along with the dive center/stowage area. Interesting enough, both also move two guest staterooms to the main deck, keeping the other two below. But, in the second Teseo layout, the master stateroom goes below decks, while in the third, it’s on the upper deck. The third Teseo arrangement additionally places the galley below decks and dining on the upper deck, rimmed with windows.
The Superconero is intended to echo CRN’s past. The shipyard built a famous model by the same name in the 1960s. Of course, the new Superconero is thoroughly modern, with a fold-down beach club. There’s also a balcony the owners can enjoy underway. Better yet, the model includes the float-in tender garage that CRN featured on J’Ade. Like the Teseo, there are accommodations for 10.
As for the Dislopen Special Edition, she’s a version of the Dislopen series that CRN introduced in 2011. She, too, has a float-in tender garage, beach club, and balcony, plus accommodations for 10.
