To strengthen its reach into the American market, Mondomarine has tapped Northrop & Johnson for stateside efforts pertaining to new builds and brokerage listings.
Northrop & Johnson’s Fort Lauderdale office will handle sales and marketing duties, via Philip Bell. Bell’s background blends sales and marketing with onboard experience. To the latter point, he spent more than a dozen years serving as an engineer and project manager for a variety of private and charter megayachts.
Northrop & Johnson is now the central agent for a number of Mondomarine megayachts in build. Coming late this year, there’s the Mondomarine SF40. The in-house design team worked with SF Yachts, the yard’s Middle Eastern dealer, to develop the series. The all-aluminum SF40 measures 136 feet (41.5 meters) with a beam just shy of 29 feet (8.8 meters). A highlight is the split-level master suite.
Additional central agencies for Northrop & Johnson include the Mondomarine M50. Launching next year, she bears design by Hot Lab Yacht & Design, rising four decks high and accommodating 12 in the owner’s party. Similar to the SF40, construction is all aluminum. Then there’s the Mondomarine M57 Explorer, its first expedition-style megayacht, and the M60, which at 197 feet will mark the Italian yard’s largest
Of course, Northrop & Johnson is additionally promoting yet-to-be-contracted projects. These include the M45, an expedition-style yacht; the M57 EIDOS, a sporty-looking long-range cruiser; and the SF60, pictured, which we featured this past March. The rest of the lineup: the M50S, M50 GTO, M54, M33, M40, M43, M60 S, SF30, SF35, SF40, and SF45.
