With a name like FunAir, you know the inflatable toys that come from this company have to be a blast. If there’s any doubt, speak with the megayacht owners and guests who slip, slide, scramble, and more over them. FunAir has now upped the ante with two of the tallest inflatable climbing walls it’s ever made—indeed, two of the tallest reportedly ever made by any company.
The two slides were shipped to clients in the United Arab Emirates, so you may not get a look at them in person. The photos here will have to suffice. Picture FunAir manufacturing one slide to be 32’8” (10 meters) tall, while the other inflatable slide rises 39’4” (12 meters) high.
It’s one thing to create a cool toy for owners and guests, but it’s not always enjoyable for the crew to set things up. That’s among the reasons why FunAir supplied these inflatable climbing walls with its RapidFlate system. The patented technology reportedly allows the walls to inflate and deflate six times faster than similar products.
These two inflatable climbing walls may not remain the largest ones in the world for long. FunAir says it has several others in various stages of production.
Regardless, FunAir initially released its inflatable climbing wall in 2013. It was one of the company’s first offerings, in fact. To ensure better stability and safety, FunAir equips the inflatable climbing wall with anchor systems akin to the ones that adventure rock climbers use on cliffs. FunAir also includes hand holds on the wall.
If you’ll be attending the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show next week, you can check out a smaller, but no less enticing, inflatable climbing wall. FunAir’s staff staff will be on hand, sharing exhibit space with National Marine Suppliers. They’ll be at F Dock, which is a stone’s throw from the face docks where all of the megayachts are tied up stern-to. While you’re there, check out FunAir’s superb slides and its relatively new Floating Island. It’s the first time the Floating Island, which will be fully set up, will be on display in the United States. FunAir showcased the Floating Island at the recently concluded Monaco Yacht Show, too.
