While the buyer is not new to the shipyard, the owner of a just-signed Numarine 32 XP is the first customer for the new series.
The 106’6” (32.5-meter) 32 XP is the middle sibling of a new explorer series from Numarine, based in Turkey. (The other models are the 24 XP and 40 XP.) “Explorer” references the megayacht’s long range. The Numarine 32 XP should be capable of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots, with 715-hp Caterpillars. Top speed is expected at 14 knots. The 6’9” (2.1-meter) draft at full load means multiple ports are accessible along the way.
The new model shares styling with her smaller and bigger sisters, penned by Can Yalman. She also shares something with much larger yachts built elsewhere, that being passenger capacity. The Numarine 32 XP has accommodations for 12 in the owners’ party. Furthermore, the megayacht’s layout is similar in some respects to bigger boats. There’s a stateroom on the upper deck, facing aft. Numarine has not said whether the buyer of hull number one will make this or the full-beam (26’2”, or 8 meters) stateroom forward on the main deck his suite. Eight friends and family get accommodated below decks either way.
A cozy beach club with a bar, a big aft-deck sunpad, and a sundeck are other highlights of the Numarine 32 XP. The steel-hulled yacht, with a fiberglass superstructure, is being manned by a five-person crew.
