In late 2014, Rossinavi revealed the briefest of details about the then-just-signed hull 031. She was to be a 203-footer (62-meter) for launch in 2017. Besides some other measurements, she, and her profile, remained a secret. She’s a secret no more: The images here are the first that the American owner and Rossinavi are finally sharing. And, she now has a project name, too: Vector.
Rossinavi likens Vector to a cross between a traditional trideck and a sleek speedboat. She has the space advantages of the former and the performance of the latter. Now also 207 feet (63 meters) LOA, Vector comes in at 930 gross tons. Team for Design – by Enrico Gobbi is working with the owner on the general arrangement for 12 guests and 13 crewmembers. (The same firm styled the yacht.) Rossinavi is keeping details, and renderings, of the interior of Vector close to the vest. But, the beach club seen at top makes it clear that she’ll provide a styling setting in which to relax. The 36-foot (11-meter) beam promises comfort, too.
As for performance, the all-aluminum megayacht should see a top end of 28 knots. It’s thanks to quadruple 2,640-hp MTUs, coupled to KaMeWa waterjets. In another nod to traditional motoryachts, Vector should see transatlantic range at 14 knots. Arrabito Naval Architects provided the naval architecture.
Something else noteworthy about Vector: She’ll meet RINA’s Green Plus notation. This is the voluntary, goal-based classification pertaining to environmental protection. A yacht’s design, onboard equipment, and operational procedures can all count under Green Plus. Emissions, sewage, grey water, and anti-fouling systems are among the items considered.
Vector is one of six megayachts in build at Rossinavi for deliveries through next year.
