Thousands of yacht owners worldwide share the sentiment of the owner of N2H. The initials of his yacht, which launched on April 29 at Rossinavi, stand for Nice to Have.
The 159-foot (48.5-meter) megayacht is part of Rossinavi’s Prince Shark series. The first in that series appeared in 2013, followed by another in 2014. (The names the owners gave to those yachts were Param Jamuna IV and Polaris.) N2H is different not only because of her interior design, but also her hull configuration. She’s a displacement yacht, not a semi-displacement one. Draft, as a result, is 7’2” (2.2 meters). However, naval architecture still comes from Arrabito Naval Architects, paired with styling by Team for Design – by Enrico Gobbi.
Due to that displacement hull, Rossinavi expects N2H to see a cruising speed around 14 knots under half load. With the twin Caterpillars slowing her down to 9 to 10 knots, she should also see about a 3,300-nautical-mile range.
The owner worked with Enrico Gobbi to change some of the styling to suit his more traditional tastes. He also worked with the designer for the interior. Due to a request for privacy, the shipyard cannot at this time reveal information on the interior. (The launch and christening ceremony was also private.) But, the beam of 29’6” (9.03 meters) should be appreciated.
By the way, those of you who are scientifically minded might have assumed N2H’s initials stood for something other than Nice to Have. It’s because N2H is also the name of a negatively charged ion found in the atmosphere.
