Streaming TV and movie services have become such a part of our everyday lives. Wee’ve come to expect that we can access our favorite channels and programs everywhere, even onboard. YachtCloud, a luxury entertainment company, hears it all the time from clients. This is among the reasons why it developed the new Omniyon iPhone app for megayacht owners and guests, as well as residences.
Omniyon is YachtCloud’s flagship product, currently aboard hundreds of yachts around the world since it came out several years ago. Briefly, it’s an AV automation system that lets you access movies, TV shows, and more all from one simple interface. For a while, that interface has been an iPad app, but the new Omniyon iPhone app opens up even more possibilities.
We explain all about it in this month’s Megayacht News newsletter.
Sent on a subscriber-only basis, the newsletter contains news and information we don’t publish here on the daily website. For example, besides describing how your iPhone can become not just a controller for everything onboard, as well as a virtual TV itself, we reveal how more megayacht companies are upholding some of the 17 goals that the United Nations outlined in 2015, “a to-do list for people and planet, and a blueprint for success” as the Secretary-General said. We also tell you about a new customer-service tool that Lauderdale Marine Center has, among other things.
