The “baby” of the Yacht series from Sunseeker has traveled a lot in just four months on the market. In fact, the 76 Yacht debuted in September at the Southampton show, then hit U.S. shores for the Fort Lauderdale show in October. She’s currently making her way to the London Boat Show, which begins January 10. Considering she’s sold 23 contracts to date, the Sunseeker 76 Yacht seems to have struck the right chord with “mini” megayacht buyers.
Measuring 77’5” (23.6 meters), the yacht is, coincidentally or not, half the size of the biggest boat in the Yacht range, the 155 Yacht. Sunseeker designed her to appeal to buyers not quite ready for a complement of crew. While a crew cabin (for three) is aboard, she’s equally suited to owner-operators. Professional captains and owners alike will appreciate the optional opening skylight above the interior helm. Whoever takes the wheel can describe the day’s destination with guests gathered on the adjoining settee.
This type of sociable atmosphere extends throughout the Sunseeker 76 Yacht. It’s especially true outside, where the British builder incorporated 25 percent more space over the yacht’s predecessor. Gather for meals around the foredeck dining area, or lounge on the sunpads. In keeping with the mini-megayacht, more manageable idea, Sunseeker includes a handy refrigerated drinks drawer here, too.
If you like formal entertaining, opt for a bar back aft. Since the shipyard encourages customer input, the Sunseeker 76 Yacht can also gain more seating here, to handle lots of friends and family. Do also opt for the beach-club-like arrangement for the transom. It includes fold-out seating and a grill, along with a rain shower. While not rivaling “true” beach clubs, it does offer flexibility not always found in this size range.
The Sunseeker 76 Yacht offers other amenities not always found in this size range. When dining inside, you and six guests can take in terrific views through full-height glass to port. Large ports additionally adorn the three guest cabins and full-beam (19’6”/5.95 meters) master below.
