There’s nothing like a big red “top secret” and “confidential” stamp on a builder’s website to get your attention and make you want to learn more. Baglietto has one on its website, on the page dedicated to megayachts under construction. However, it just released the profile illustration shown here. This Baglietto 54M (177-footer) is hull number 10231.
Those are among the few details the Italian builder will share so far. It also says that hull number 10231, an all-aluminum megayacht, features a hull design created specifically for her. Baglietto’s own in-house naval-architecture department penned it. The builder considers her a fast motoryacht, too. Unfortunately, Baglietto isn’t revealing what the expected maximum and cruising speeds are. However, it does say that best range should come at 12 knots, being 4,500 nautical miles. In addition, draft is 8’5” (2.6 meters), making a mix of deep-water and relatively shallow anchorages available upon delivery in 2020.
No information is available on the stylist or interior designer, either. For now, Baglietto will only say that the 54M hull number 10231 has a 34-foot (10.4-meter) beam. That means she’s on par with other megayachts accommodating owners’ parties of 12. Finally, we know that the megayacht will meet Lloyd’s classification—apparently, its highest classification standard, too.
Regardless, the size range is a familiar one for Baglietto. In 2016, it delivered the same-size Unicorn. In addition, currently under construction, Baglietto has a 55-meter (180-foot) T-Line megayacht. She’s a full-displacement design, with a steel hull. While Baglietto’s in-house department designed the hull, styling is from Francesco Paszkowski Design. The same studio is handling interior design, too, with Margarita Casprini. Known as hull number 10225, she’s set to launch next year.
Two additional, smaller megayachts are in build at Baglietto as well. One is 141 feet (43 meters) LOA, while the other is 158 feet (48 meters).
