Twenty-five new models in three years apparently aren’t enough for the Ferretti Group. It’s adding two more megayacht-specific series, including the largest to date from one of its brands. The two megayachts are the Pershing 170 and Custom Line 106.
The Ferretti Group is still keeping full details about the two new boats close to its vest. It’s also keeping the look of the Pershing 170 mostly out of the public eye for now. The teaser image above is all that’s available as a result. But, the overall sleek shape follows the family style of the entire Pershing range. The Pershing 170’s maxi-yacht styling also comes from the same person responsible for that full range. Fulvio di Simoni has joined forces once again with the Ferretti Group’s engineering and design departments.
Though a contract hasn’t been announced, the Pershing 170 will be built at the Ferretti Group’s Super Yacht Yard in Ancona, Italy. Since that facility specializes in metal construction, it’s likely that the Pershing 170 will be an all-aluminum megayacht. She’ll also take the flagship spot among all of Pershing’s models, usurping the Pershing 140, which sees launch later this year. No anticipated performance figures are available, though it’s safe to assume she’ll be fast, similar to her sisterships.
The other new megayacht series, meanwhile, is the Custom Line 106 (above). This time, the Ferretti Group is showing the model off in more detail. Styling comes from Francesco Paszkowski. You might remember he’s also responsible for the Custom Line 120. Like Fulvio di Simoni, he’s working with the Ferretti Group’s in-house departments, too. No information is available on the interior arrangement or expected speeds.
Besides these megayacht models, the Ferretti Group is adding a new Riva. She’s not a megayacht, though. She’s the Riva 66. Also unlike the two above-mentioned megayachts, she’s actually already in build. Launch takes place this year, in fact.
