Are you already making plans to attend the Monaco Yacht Show in September? Here’s a yacht you can put on your list. Vida will make her boat-show debut there. Her owners should have some great fishing tales to tell, too, since one of them is an avid angler.
In fact, he also has a few sportfishing boats, including a Bayliss 60 and a Baliss 68. Vida will venture off on sportfishing adventures with them, as their mothership. In addition, she will even refuel them when the trio is away from shore for a few days. Considering that Vida has a reported 4,500-nautical-mile range at her 13-knot cruise, they can stay away more than just a few days.
On a related note, the megayacht, part of the Heesen 55M Steel series, has a pair of MTU diesel engines that further meet the new, stricter IMO Tier III standards. The regulation ensures reduction of nitrous oxide. The yacht is the first Heesen meeting the standards.
When the owners want to celebrate landing a prize fish, or want to cruise, the 180-foot megayacht should deliver. They can relax with a few glasses of good wine, poured from their custom bottle showcase at the saloon’s entrance. A backlit onyx arch, in ivory tones, contains 21 bottles to each side. Furthermore, each bottle points, literally, toward the saloon—as if to say, “sit down and unwind.” B E Design Associates created this, and the rest of the interior design, with the owners.
Ten friends and family will see more backlit onyx in the main stairway, along with stripes of both smoked mirror and lacquered wood. They’ll also enjoy a gym in the beach club. But they’ll also want to spend time outside, as you would expect. Vida treats them to a pool with a waterfall on the sundeck. LEDs in the pool make it fun to stay here at night, too, as does the bar and starry-like lights.
