Custom tenders sit on deck and in garages of most megayachts upwards of 131 feet (40 meters). Few alternate options exist. Williams Jet Tenders, which supplies RIBs to a variety of owners and megayacht builders, is changing this. Starting with the Evojet 70, it has a new range specifically for bigger yachts.
The inspiration came straight from customers, too. Several customers stepping up to larger yachts have asked for bigger chase boats and/or tenders. The company’s models thus far suit yachts smaller than 131 feet (40 meters). Mathew Hornsby, Williams Jet Tenders’ sales director, points out that custom tenders are often costly and require months to construct. “We can deliver a semi customized product in a shorter lead time, leveraging our proven engineering to create a reliable, innovative superyacht tender at a very competitive price,” he adds.
The Evojet 70 comes out this fall. Featuring a deep-V hull and Yanmar propulsion, it also has the company’s own jet pump. With about 53 gallons (200 liters) of fuel, the tender additionally puts more coastlines in reach. This suits owners and guests who want to explore or use it as a dayboat. Similarly, an integrated waterski pole, along with the engineering package, suits waterskiing.
Whatever you decide to do, note that the Evojet 70 has multiple boarding areas for 13 people. One is the fold-out, walk-through transom (above). The fold-out section forms part of the aft seating area when back upright. Wherever guests board, the tender offers a flat floor for sure footing when they move around. LEDs make moving around at night safer, too.
Further noteworthy, especially if you have a tender garage, the Evojet 70 has a folding T-top. Made of carbon fiber, is provides welcome shade when you’re out cruising. On a related note, it lets you attach additional biminis fore and aft, to cover all seating.
Williams Jet Tenders has a larger sister model in development, for launch late next year.
