Rosetti Superyachts has its first project under construction. It laid the keel for a 124-foot (37.83-meter) long-range cruiser in May for owners well versed in yachting. They are additionally quite hands-on for the design, construction, and even eventual operation and management of their 38m EXP. That operation and management should come in springtime 2021.
The owners intend to stay aboard for long stretches of time, a favorite pastime. So, they sought a yacht that looked up to the task as much as engineering would be. They worked with Hydro Tec for both styling and naval architecture. Of course, they still wanted fun touches alongside the functional ones. That’s why they requested ports be as big as possible, and the same for open areas.
To fulfill their love of long-range travel, the Rosetti 38m EXP should see transatlantic range. Best cruise should be 10 to 11 knots, under MAN power. For better maneuverability in tight coves, the megayacht has independent rudders, as well as a robust bow thruster. Electric fin stabilizers should keep them comfortable while at anchor, too, plus should be quiet. On a related subject, Hydro Tec created a central tunnel beneath the lower deck for the crew to access the fins’ watertight compartment. That same tunnel connects their quarters to the engine room, too.
The 400-gross-ton megayacht has relaxation spaces meant to make the most of the sea views. For instance, the saloon has sliding side doors yielding access to the side deck. Even when closed, the views will be enviable, thanks to cutaway bulwarks. A sliding glass door lets the owners access their suite’s private fixed balcony. The foredeck, meanwhile, is capacious enough for a multi-person sunbed. We expect the owners and guests to dine often on the sundeck, plus enjoy its corner bar. The hot tub with a waterfall feature is a good excuse to spend the day up here.
With a 29-foot (8.85-meter) beam, the Rosetti 38m EXP is indulgent inside, too. A custom wine cellar separates the owners’ main-deck suite from the general relaxation areas aft. BurdissoCapponi Yachts & Design, handling interior design, has additionally created a sculpture-like staircase. The owners informed the team that they wanted a stairway as a focal point functionally as well as stylistically. Expect it to show off white lacquer plus light and dark woods. Also expect the Rosetti 38m EXP to show off art niches throughout her decks. Special lighting draws attention to each piece.
Rosetti Superyachts says the steel hull is nearly ready for joining with the aluminum superstructure. Eight guests will eventually travel with the owners upon delivery.
