About three years after Rosetti Superyachts became the yachting arm of the commercial shipbuilding conglomerate Rosetti Marino, it celebrated its first launch. The 124-foot (37.83-meter) RSY 38m EXP slipped into the water this week.
The owners, hands-on since keel-laying in 2019, were present for the official launch and christening, along with their family. Seasoned cruisers, they commissioned the steel and aluminum megayacht for long-range, global travels. Specifically, the RSY 38m EXP should see 5,000 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots under MAN power. The owners additionally specified participating in contractor selection. In fact, the ability to do that with Rosetti Superyachts (RSY for short), along with its ties to commercial ship construction, attracted them in the first place.
Bearing a beam of 29 feet (8.85 meters), the newly launched megayacht offers accommodations for 10 guests in four staterooms below decks. The owners have a main-deck suite, including a fixed balcony. Overall, the yacht provides about 7,535 square feet (700 square meters) of usable space divided nearly evenly between interior and alfresco areas. The interiors, by BurdissoCapponi Yachts & Design, feature oak paneling and eye-catching artwork in special niches. (Photos are not yet available, since outfitting continues.) Out on the sundeck, the owners and guests can enjoy a hot tub, along with a dining area and a bar. The combination makes for an all-day usable space. For even more leisure, meanwhile, the owners and family can use the foredeck sunning area.
Speaking at the launch, Andrea Giora, Rosetti Superyachts’ sales and marketing director, noted the collaborative environment with the owners. He noted, too, the collaboration with the naval-architecture firm Hydro Tec and the interior design studio. “The RSY 38m EXP represents our first tangible experience of a totally custom-built ship,” he continued. “This demonstrates the strength and reliability of our shipyard in satisfying the requirements of all owners.”
Anticipate seeing the RSY 38m EXP at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Prior to that, of course, the owners plan to enjoy the summer season. They take delivery in July.
