Outdoing its own record-setting launch from 2018, Golden Yachts has put its largest new build in its relatively short history into the water. O’Pari, coming in at 310 feet (94.6 meters), will rank as one of the largest yachts available for charter upon delivery, too.
With a guest total of 12 and a crew total of 28, O’Pari shares the same name as the first yacht to which the Greek shipyard contributed. Actually it wasn’t even a yacht builder at the time. The year was 1996, and Golden Yachts served in a consulting and supervising role for the 129-footer (39.47-meter). That O’Pari saw construction in Italy. Subsequently, though, Golden Yachts handled major refits and new-construction projects in a facility just outside of Athens.
That same facility slipped the latest O’Pari into the water. Her length gives her a bit more dominating presence than Golden Yachts’ previous flagship, O’Ptasia, which saw delivery in 2018. O’Ptasia measures 279 feet (85 meters). Fittingly, too, the new flagship has an even larger volume of 2,700 gross tons, versus about 2,300 gross tons.
The owner of O’Pari is no stranger to yachting. Therefore, he wanted the megayacht to provide friends and family, as well as charter clients, with expansive alfresco spaces. They start with a helipad at the bow, from which arriving guests can step down to and enter the upper deck. Four staterooms are on this same deck, including the full-beam master suite. A large outdoor dining area lies fully aft on the upper deck as well. Pools, sunpads, and sociable seating areas spread out on the rest of the open deck areas. On the lower deck, meanwhile, tenders and toys stow just forward of the engine room, therefore freeing up space for the must-have beach club off the deep swim platform.
Bearing a 45-foot (13.8-meter) beam, O’Pari has a welcoming interior created in collaboration with Studio Vafiadis. Specifically, whites will make her ambiance suitably light and bright.
In terms of charter availability, the megayacht should start taking bookings later this year.
