With so much attention on new launches in new series, sometimes we need a reminder that a particular series is still going strong. Club B, a Ferretti Yachts 780, proves that point. Just launched this week at the Ferretti shipyard in Cattolica, Italy, she represents hull number 36 in the line.
To put it into better perspective, the Ferretti Yachts 780 series dates back to 2017, but of course has kept up with styling trends. Those include, for example, bigger windows, especially below decks, for more natural light inside. Additionally, the transom comes in two sections, which can fold down together or separately. Either way, it reveals sunpads inches above the water. Up on the flying bridge, meanwhile, the hardtop offers a choice of a glass center or louvered panels.
The owner of Club B, hailing from Malta, chose the Classic interior-design scheme. (Since the series is semi-custom, buyers get to select different décor packages.) The Classic look comes with walnut and brushed oak woods, as part of an overall emphasis on warm, traditional colors. Carrara marble is also part of that package. Altogether, Club B follows what Ferretti calls its Just Like Home principle, meaning she looks and feels more comfortable and welcoming. Additionally, throughout the yacht, all furnishings and accessories are from Italian brands. Notably, the alfresco furnishings are custom creations from Roda, exclusively for Ferretti Yachts.
With an LOA of 78’9” (24.01 meters) and a beam of 19 feet (5.8 meters), Club B, as part of the 780 series, features design contributions from a few parties. Ferretti Group’s own engineering department and Strategic Product Committee are responsible for styling and naval architecture. The already mentioned interior, meanwhile, is from Ideaeitalia.
Club B is further noteworthy for Ferretti Yachts beyond being the 36th hull in the 780 series. The launch comes less than three weeks after a fire at Ferretti Yachts’ shipyard damaged one yacht. No injuries occurred, however, and the shipyard says the structure of the facility remained intact. “It is fantastic to see the shipyard get back to full operational capacity in such a short time,” notes Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group’s CEO. He continues, “The launch of this Ferretti Yachts 780, Club B, marks the return to our extraordinary normality.”
In related news, the shipyard has yet another launch coming soon. Specifically, a Ferretti Yachts 1000 splashes in just a few days. This megayacht is the flagship model for the yard.
