ISA Custom 80 Meter, First-Ever Collaboration With Espen Øino

UPDATE, APRIL 24, 2024: The ISA Custom 80 is in her interior-outfitting stage. Still on pace for delivery in 2026, she will be ISA Yachts’ largest completed project. Although the build and design teams are still keeping most details confidential, volume will be 2,150 gross tons. Additionally, for the first time, ISA Yachts reveals that Peter Marino Architect is handling interiors. The New York-based studio previously designed projects like the Feadship Juice.

There’s a first time for everything, and the ISA Custom 80 is a prime example. The new project is the first yacht where ISA Yachts is joining forces with the design studio Espen Øino.

Scant details are public about the 262-footer (80-meter) at this point. The barest hint at her lines, for instance, is all that the build and design teams will reveal so far in terms of the studio’s styling. However, Giuseppe Palumbo, director of ISA Yachts’ parent company Palumbo Superyachts, might have another hint. He refers to the megayacht as “an avant-garde, fully custom project.” He adds that when it comes to Espen Øino, the studio’s namesake is “an undisputed professional in the sector, whose creativity I have always appreciated.”

Øino himself doesn’t go into details about the design, though generally he comments, “Owners are experienced and have a keen eye for aesthetics and a background in naval architecture.”

The further few facts available so far include Palumbo Superyachts’ own naval-architecture division handling engineering. Additionally, delivery of the ISA Custom 80 should take place in 2026, with construction entirely at ISA Yachts’ Ancona, Italy shipyard. The project will be among the largest in build in Italy, too.

Meanwhile, Palumbo Superyachts’ shipyards, including ISA Yachts, have more than a dozen megayachts under construction. Currently at ISA Yachts, there’s the ISA 45 GT, a 148-footer (45-meter) on pace for delivery in two years.
