In a few years’ time, repeat customers of Cantiere delle Marche will cruise far and wide aboard the shipyard’s largest superyacht so far. They’ll have plenty of room to take friends and family along, too, aboard the 147-foot (45-meter) RJ 155 yacht, an RJ Class explorer.
Cantiere delle Marche exclusively constructs true explorer-oriented custom yachts. The idea behind the RJ Class is to offer owners who yearn to head to far-off horizons large social spaces inside and out. The series includes the RJ 130 RJ, among four other sales so far, all with styling by Francesco Paszkowski Design. P.L.A.N.A. Design, Pierluigi Ausonio’s studio, is providing naval architecture for the trideck RJ 155. She should achieve a 5,000-nautical-mile range at 9 knots, carrying 17,171 gallons (65,000 liters) of fuel. Propulsion will come courtesy of twin Caterpillar engines, permitting a further anticipated 15-knot top speed.
Cantiere delle Marche’s RJ 155 is for a party of 12 to indulge in contented comfort while enjoying anchorages and activities. The nearly 29-foot (8.8-meter) beam should make the owners’ suite, forward on the main deck, especially comfortable. Notably, the owners will have a sizable, well-equipped gym within their suite. Although the woods, stones, and other aesthetic elements aren’t public yet, the owners are working with Achille Salvagni for the ambience. Salvagni is also designing the furnishings inside.
While conversation areas will be throughout the yacht’s interior lounges, alfresco areas are additionally a priority. Good shade characterizes some spaces, due to the long aft overhangs of the upper deck and the sun deck. It’s easy to imagine the owners and guests using these areas to scope out the anchorages for watertoy use, too. Cantiere delle Marche’s RJ 155 will carry stand-up paddleboards, electric scooters, dive gear, bikes, and more. They’ll all stow in the good-size lazarette, while tenders will sit forward on the upper deck.
Delivery will take place in early 2025.
