It may have taken a while, but the large-yacht cruising public has finally caught on to catamarans. In a big way (no pun intended). Sunreef Yachts says it’s fielding more and more inquiries for its models, especially its 100 Sunreef Power yacht. A recent contract means the next twin-hulled project will be on the water within the next two years.
This 94-foot (29-meter) megayacht series is still pretty new. The launch of hull number one made history in Poland in 2021 (below), marking one of the biggest and largest-volume power yachts from the shipyard. To put this into better perspective, consider that her beam is the equivalent of about half her length, 44 feet (13.5 meters).
Usable space expands at the waterline, too, with fold-out platforms. They yield access to stowage for a handful of watertoys and accessories such as dive and scuba gear. This is in addition to the dedicated garage, holding two PWCs and further watertoys. Launch and retrieval of tenders and toys simplifies via the hydraulic swim platform. When guests aren’t playing on the water, they can relax in the beach club.

Of course, catamaran buyers crave the sizable space up on deck, so the owners of the 100 Sunreef Power yacht should be pleased. Here, the expansive, open-plan saloon and dining area can become one with the aft deck. Fully forward outside, the owner has asked for a sunken lounge, accompanying a sunning area. The sunken area is a departure from hull number one. The shipyard gives owners a good deal of leeway for tailoring all areas onboard to their tastes.
The same is true of the accommodations space. In fact, the owner of hull number one in the 100 Sunreef Power yacht series wanted to cruise with big groups. Therefore, he requested five staterooms, for 10 people. The owner of this new contract, meanwhile, wants four staterooms. From the king-size master suite to the smaller guest cabins, every accommodation has big windows directly opposite the bed.
Although Sunreef hasn’t revealed the engine manufacturer for the propulsion system, it does say that the owners can enjoy transatlantic range.
