For 17 years, we at Megayacht News have been providing readers like you with all-original articles. So-called “churnalism,” the practice of copying and pasting press releases, was prevalent among online yachting media in 2007, the year of our founding. These days, it’s even more crucial to provide accurate, trustworthy, and original reporting. Over the years, readers like you have requested new features, new sections, and new ideas. So, we want more of your feedback in our annual survey. You can help shape our content with our editorial team.
In fact, reader feedback has led to several significant developments over the years. For instance, we completely redeveloped the Megayacht Builders Directory several years ago following a survey. Specifically, the directory changed from an alphabetical listing to an A to Z listing further with a country-by-country listing. We took this route because although some of you know exactly which builder you want to contact, others have shared you prefer to build in certain countries. Additionally, more than a decade ago, readers like you told us you wanted more news more regularly. That therefore led us to switch to a seven-days-a-week publishing schedule, often with more than one article per day.
Further influencing feedback led us to adapt our Megayacht News Radio podcast. We proudly stand as not only the first superyacht podcast series, but also the first to use auto-transcribing technology for the hearing impaired. Additionally, we were the first to provide written transcripts on request. Both practices remain in effect today—and for our other podcast, The Yacht Law Podcast, too.
Knowing your time is valuable—and that research proves people don’t answer 10-minute-long questionnaires—our annual survey is short. It takes 60 seconds or less. Take the survey here.
