Twenty feet (6 meters) makes a difference. As much as Bering Yachts says there’s a lot of interest in the Bering 88, potential clients wanted more space. So, the Bering 105 yacht series is the solution. The just-mentioned additional length accommodates some smart creature comforts and technical features.
Customers clearly agree, since an explainer video about the new model has nearly 30,000 views in just its first two weeks on Bering’s YouTube channel. Like the Bering 88 and her bigger sisters, including the Bering 165, the Bering 105 is a globetrotter at heart. The shipyard anticipates a 4,000-nautical-mile-range at 9 knots, for instance. Additionally, Alexei Mikhailov, Bering’s founder and president, says there’s the possibility of 6,000 nautical miles with the engines dialed back more. Plus, to reduce emissions especially in sensitive regions, clients can request hybrid propulsion. The extra length affords creating a dedicated battery room, independent of the engine room. Regardless, the megayacht has enough fuel capacity, refrigerator and freezer space, plus stowage to remain independent of shore for about a month.
Exploring new shorelines is better with family and friends along for the ride, of course. To that end, the Bering 105 yacht offers four to five staterooms. The extra cabin can go in a pretty unusual spot for her LOA, too. It replaces the skylounge. Yet another option: request a gym or a sauna instead of the skylounge or extra cabin. Whatever the choice, the rest of your guests have three staterooms below decks, while you have a full-beam master suite.
More pleasant surprises await on the main deck, especially if you have a relaxed relationship with your crew. A removable partition opens up the galley to the saloon. The addition of barstools on the saloon side makes it more of a breakfast bar. It simultaneously makes the crew’s job of staging lunch or dinner platters easier.

Speaking of easing the crew’s job, tenders and toys stow together on the boat deck, aft of the skylounge. There’s also room on the long main aft deck, if you choose not to add a 13-foot-wide (4-meter-wide) pool. A dedicated lazarette for dive gear, yet more toys, or stowage further keeps things well organized aboard the Bering 105 yacht. If you don’t anticipate needing the lazarette, the area instead can be a traditional beach club, or a gym.
You, your guests, and your five- to seven-person crew have even more choices. Consider keeping an observation settee in the wheelhouse so that you can learn directly from the captain about operations. Certainly also consider equipping the flying bridge with a bar and dining area, even an extra helm station. Ask any captain, and you’ll learn taking the wheel in the great outdoors is a big plus.

Finally, you can request either BV or RINA classification for the steel and aluminum project.
