For someone to name a yacht Amor à Vida, you can safely guess that he or she is passionate about experiences. The name translates to “love of life” from different languages. Passion stirred yesterday in Ancona, Italy while the owner of a 221-foot (67.5-meter) CRN with this name christened her and watched her launch.
Although sometimes launch ceremonies attract local dignitaries, this celebration was strictly private. Perhaps not coincidentally, the yacht Amor à Vida, a.k.a. Project Maranello during construction, has largely remained confidential since signing. Images of her united hull and superstructure arriving at CRN about 18 months ago for outfitting were the first big-picture looks at her profile, for example.
Though many facts still are confidential, CRN does say that she’s quite voluminous, specifically 1,450 gross tons. An equally generous 39-foot (nearly 12-meter) beam complements this. Guests who step aboard—12 people in the owner’s party have staterooms—should sense the spaciousness amid the six decks, too.
With a further 17 cabins for the captain and crew, the yacht Amor à Vida has been under the watch of Moran Yacht & Ship since inception. The firm is the owner’s representative as well as the project manager. Additionally, the firm wrote the specifications and selected the subcontractors for various contributions. Those specifications include a hybrid propulsion system and a heat-recovery system. In fact, guests who eventually take a dip in the pools aboard will enjoy comfortable water temperature thanks to that heat-recovery system.

Look for the owner to take delivery during the spring. Sea trials should occur over the next few weeks.
