Bold burnt orange, deep red wine, and extensive mirrored surfaces are just the beginnings of the design behind the yacht Raja². She celebrated her launch at The Italian Sea Group, the newest project in the Admiral Yachts S-Force line.
The Italian Sea Group executives joined the owner for a private launch ceremony this week. The 180-footer (55-meter) bears strong, sporty lines that should attract extra attention thanks to the bronze-like paint tone and black mast. So, too, should her open transom, effective in creating more one-with-the-water feelings among the guests.

As much as these were important to the owner, so was ensuring that the superyacht was inviting throughout her decks. For instance, alfresco dining and lounging is possible on two decks fully aft. Additionally, the upper deck has an ample circular lounge that converts to a helipad (touch-and-go only) for convenient arrivals and departures, or sightseeing. The sights from the hot tub and handful of sunning areas on the sundeck should be quite enjoyable as well.
Throughout the interior, the yacht Raja² clearly keeps the owner and guests connected to the soothing sights of sunlight and water. The owner particularly conveyed a desire for reflective surfaces to achieve this. Of course, plenty of glass all along the superstructure does the same.

All the while, a grand, vibrant décor surrounds the guests. They can expect to find a handful of contrasting and complementing marbles aboard the yacht Raja². In fact, inky black stonework pairs with predominantly white stone that further features gold veining in some areas. In other rooms, meanwhile, classic white Carrara marble pairs with intricately veined, rich black marble. Creative juxtapositions are elsewhere in the décor as well. For example, high-gloss Canaletto walnut contrasts with sandblasted or bleached oak with a dark chocolate tone. Muted, natural-colored leathers and the above-mentioned orange and red tones come into play, too. Capping it all off are moldings, decorative frames, and other raised, tactile surfaces.
With 11 people among the captain and crew, the yacht will join IYC’s charter fleet after delivery this spring. A 26-foot (8-meter) tender will be among the toys in the garage. Sea trials soon should confirm a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 16½ knots.
