The Mangusta maxi megayachts have been popular for some time. Many Americans are among the buyers, too. These two facts have come together once again for the first Mangusta 132E yacht, which just launched this week in Italy.
The name may sound familiar, since the Mangusta 132 series premiere in 2015. Although multiple customers took delivery of hulls since then, the shipyard decided to update the styling. That therefore lead to the “132E” designation. The profile, entirely from the Mangusta engineering department, still looks swift, only this time with bigger windows. They’re not just larger overall, but also wider particularly where the main-deck windows are concerned. Additionally, the in-house designers added two floor-to-ceiling swaths of glass amidships. The total package makes for a more open and airy feel due to more streams of sunshine. But, the designers didn’t stop there. In fact, they changed the sliding door to the main aft deck, too. It rotates on its axis and tucks away into the wall when owners and guests want the true indoor-outdoor experience.
Even with these advantages, the Mangusta 132E yacht is a live-outdoors cruiser. The owner plans to dine alfresco, for instance, on the sundeck. Nearby, family or friends can also enjoy lounges, or chat with the captain as he points the bow toward their next destination. (They’ll get there in a hurry, too, since the top speed should be 35 knots. It’s only modestly less than the original series’ capabilities, but importantly consumes less fuel.) Fully forward on the main deck, meanwhile, a big sunpad and an equally large hot tub beckon them to come relax while the megayacht is at anchor.
Images aren’t available of the interior design. Regardless, the owner worked with the in-house designers for a welcoming atmosphere plus an arrangement that gives guests and crew their respective privacy.
With a few finishing touches still to come, the yacht will see delivery by summertime.
