The last thing owners likely would expect to see at a superyacht launch is snow on the flying-bridge hardtop. Then again, isn’t something rare also something to treasure? It’s all part of yacht construction in northern climes, like Sunreef Yachts’ home of Poland. The latest 100 Sunreef Power project emerged from her build shed into a snowy winter scene and got a taste of the chilly stuff herself.
The 94-foot (29-meter) megayacht series has grown in popularity ever since the launch of hull number one made history in Poland in 2021 (sisterships shown). Specifically, the power cat became one of the biggest and largest-volume projects from Sunreef Yachts at the time. The literal and figurative sense of volume comes partly from her beamy stance, 44 feet (13.5 meters).
Since the debut four years ago, the builder has offered the 100 Sunreef Power with solar panels embedded in the hulls and the hardtop, too. This latest launch doesn’t have them, but remains a more fuel-efficient cruising option nonetheless compared to a monohull.
Further choices extend throughout the semi-custom interior. For example, some buyers have gone with a typical four-stateroom layout, including the master suite. At least one owner, though, asked for a fifth stateroom because he likes to cruise with a crowd. Regardless, the king-size bed in the master suite and the doubles or twins in the rest of the staterooms all face the big windows, for waking up to fantastic views.
Sunreef Yachts invites customers to reconfigure alfresco areas, too. From foredeck hot tubs to sunken foredeck lounges, creative requests have come. Additionally, from classic PWCs to inflatables and e-toys, the tender garage aboard every 100 Sunreef Power has differed.
Maybe someone will take inspiration from a snowy launch day and add a snowboard, just for fun.
