Sunseeker Manhattan 94 Yacht Speeds Toward Delivery

With a profile as suitable for cruising by cityscapes as it is beachy destinations, the inaugural megayacht in the Sunseeker Manhattan 94 yacht series is in the water. She celebrated her launch last week with all of the British builder’s craftspeople lining the quayside.

Originally planned as the Sunseeker 94 Yacht, the project embraces an elevated home-away-from home design sensibility. As such, she offers customers more choices among more higher-end décor materials, in collaboration with the Design Unlimited studio. Additionally, she has features more common to large superyachts, including starboard-side sliding-glass doors on the main deck. The intention is to invite the surrounding seascapes into the yacht as much as it is to invite owners and guests to step out and take in the views. The views are still enjoyable without the doors open, though, due to full-height glass wrapping around the saloon and formal dining area.

Further featuring four guest staterooms below decks and a main-deck master suite with a private entrance lobby, the Sunseeker Manhattan 94 yacht emphasizes outdoor enjoyment, too. A big foredeck terrace flows directly into the flying bridge, for instance, ideal for big parties. Although Sunseeker hasn’t specified what the owner of this Manhattan 94 yacht wanted to add, a helm, wetbar, and grill are all standard. A supersized sunpad and two seating areas make the foredeck an all-day relaxation and conversation space. Yet another all-day space is the beach area, with Sunseeker’s X-TEND sunbed system. The sunbeds spread out (extend) from the transom into different configurations. They can face the sea when full lowered, for example, or face the rest of the guests on the main aft-deck level.

For extra fun while out on the water, the superyacht has a tender garage capable of carrying popular watertoys. A Williams SportJet 395 tender is standard, and you can request a launching system for it. More space is available for Seabobs, stand-up paddleboards, and other favorites.

In keeping with her smaller sisters in the Manhattan range, the Sunseeker Manhattan 94 yacht delivers spirited speeds. Anticipate a top end of 26 knots.

Look for the yacht to premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. In the meantime, work continues on hull number two, which is also under contract.
