You’re looking at what’s reportedly the first transatlantic-capable launch built in Russia. Timmerman Yachts, based in Moscow, splashed her in late June, and while she premiered at a local boat show, she’ll make her international debut at next month’s Monaco Yacht Show.
If you’ve never heard of Timmerman, you’re not alone. It’s a relatively new yard, opening its doors six years ago and prior to this point launching five yachts from about 102 to 125 feet, all steel-hulled. But it’s partnering with leading names in the yacht world to turn out these yachts. In the case of the Timmerman 45 shown here, the yard collaborated with Vripack Naval Architects and Bannenberg Designs. Measuring 44 meters LOA (about 144 feet), the yacht complies with both Det Norske Veritas classification and the MCA Code.
Other quick facts about the Timmerman 45: She features an ice-class hull (navigating in broken ice only, of course), and 720-hp Caterpillars should permit a 13.5-knot cruise and a 4,000-nautical-mile range. She also has a helipad, five staterooms for a dozen people, and five crew cabins for ten capable hands.
Timmerman will have a stand in Parvis Piscine and exhibit the yacht along Jetee Nord.
