In July Baglietto celebrated its sixth launch in less than a year – and judging by the photos here of that sixth yacht, christened Ancòra, the owner plans to do a bit of celebrating, too.
Measuring 42.75 meters (about 140 feet), Ancòra resembles other Bagliettos in profile, since many are styled by Francesco Paszkowski. In fact, she’s the second 43-meter the owner has commissioned from Baglietto. But the interior design is certainly distinctive, filled with personal touches and setting a hip yet sophisticated atmosphere. The owner approached Art-Line Interiors to create what Baglietto calls a modern interpretation of Art Deco. Sculpted furnishings certainly stand out, as do the zebrano wood paneling and pleated leather panels. The drama is heightened by an intricate, colorful lighting system comprised of LEDs built into the overhead plus fiber optics and lamps, all strategically placed to enhance certain features.
The skylounge – what the owner calls his “dream lounge” – is a good example. The photo above shows how a sofa runs the length of the room on one side, with plush cushioning continuing up overhead. Other loose furnishings, wine refrigerators, and a bar with its own seating round out the highlights here. Imagine the environment when the sound system is pumping and the huge TV (not visible) is on.
Between the colorful lighting, the curves of the furnishings, and even the mosaic details on the flying-bridge pool (see slideshow below), Ancòra should keep her eight guests and the owner plenty entertained.
Full specifications are posted on the yacht’s own Web site, but the following slideshow should give you a better idea of what she’s all about.
