If you’re looking for a new yacht to vacation aboard this summer in the Med, consider Bel Abri, the first Limited Editions Amels 171 to become available for charter. But first, the newly delivered superyacht is going to take her owner up to Norway for a private cruise among the fjords.
While Amels has delivered several other 171-footers in the series, it is particularly proud in this instance because Lloyds gave its seal of approval on the first day of sea trials.
Of course, it’s also pleased with the success of the series overall. Bearing styling from Tim Heywood and an interior by Laura Sessa Romboli, the Limited Editions Amels 171 allows for some customization. Bel Abri’s owner increased the size of his suite by eliminating the main-deck starboard stateroom found aboard other 171s. He also wanted to emphasize alfresco areas, so there’s a far larger Jacuzzi on the sundeck, protected by a windscreen. Sessa Romboli thematically tied some of the interiors to the outdoors – particularly the bridge-deck lounge, selecting white and blue fabrics.
She also thematically tied the variety of woods used aboard Bel Abri to one another. Depending on which deck the owner and up to 12 guests are standing on, they’re treated to maple, sycamore, walnut, or zebrano paneling and furnishings. Sessa Romboli used sucupira, a South American hardwood with a chocolate tone and fairly coarse texture, to accent each of them.
Imperial Yachts holds Bel Abri’s central listing for charter, though any reputable charter broker can book her for you. Her rate is not yet listed as of this writing.
