Last week CRN marked the launching of its fifth 60-meter (197-foot) motoryacht in five years. Though the yard refers to her as simply hull number 128, the superyacht is known as Mimtee.
Mimtee’s styling, from Zuccon International Project, is similar to that of another recent 60-meter CRN: Blue Eyes, showcasing sleek, even somewhat racy looks. Also similar to Blue Eyes, the yacht boasts voluminous spaces, from the “beach club” at the transom to the owner’s suite forward on the main deck (complete with a balcony). While beach clubs and balconies are becoming de rigeur these days, Mimtee does have one interesting departure from the norm. It’s impossible to see in the photo here, but there are glass panes instead of stainless steel handrails lining the sundeck.
Another noteworthy departure lies inside Mimtee, where designer Laura Sessa Romboli created what CRN calls a “viewing hall.” It’s aft on the same deck as the wheelhouse, made possible by devoting more enclosed space back here in comparison to other similar-sized yachts. The ten guests and owner will apparently put it to good use, as it was a feature the owner specifically requested. Also requested: accommodations for bodyguards, tailors, and personal chefs besides the traditional crew (who get separate messes based on gender).
Also fitted with a helipad, Mimtee is said to be capable of a 15-knot top speed at half load, given twin Caterpillar 3512B engines. She should also be quiet, as CRN expects sound levels in the saloon to top out at 60 decibels, just slightly lower than that of normal conversation.
