When Nick Boksa founded Boksa Marine Design seven years ago, the focus was both luxury yachts and commercial vessels. While both are still near and dear to Boksa’s heart, he’s redirecting his yacht focus to the custom and semicustom marketplace, in anticipation of economic recovery increasing new orders. To that end, this 105-foot (32-meter) raised-pilothouse design is being shopped around.
A trideck design, the BMD 105 Raised Pilothouse Motor Yacht has many of the layout attractions that owners enjoy. For one, there’s a full-beam, main-deck master suite, a feature growing in popularity in the 100-foot range. Six guests are housed below decks, each with en suite facilities. Among them is a full-beam VIP fitted with a king berth. It’s just forward of the crew area, which buffers the guest space from the engine room. And while everyone can take meals at the formal dining table that’s open to the saloon, there’s also a dining corner in the galley, plus a U-shape seating/dining area on the aft deck.
Also outside, a foredeck seating area accompanied by a table should be a great spot for sundowners or simply taking in the view. Even with a RIB stowed fully aft on the flying bridge, there’s still space for a bar and a handful of barstools beneath the shade of the fixed hardtop. A curved seating area is just forward of it, and an intimate observation settee is tucked to starboard of the single-seat helm area fully forward.
The BMD 105 Raised Pilothouse Motor Yacht is designed in keeping with the major classification society requirements and can additionally comply with MCA standards if desired.
