With megayacht charter bookings in the Med bouncing back in 2010 in comparison to 2009, many charter brokers and industry analysts believe the summer there will once again see good business. The month of May precedes the formal season, but it’s still busy, given the Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Film Festival. With that in mind, Edmiston is wasting no time in promoting two particular yachts that are available for charter.
Both Pure One and Apache II (top and above, respectively) are taking bookings for the Cannes Film Festival, from May 11 to 22. A 46.2-meter (152-foot) Leopard, Pure One accommodates 12 guests for sleeping but can host quite the soiree for 40 people. Want to screen a film for an invitation-only intimate group? Pure One’s media room can do the trick. She can then take them for a speedy spin around the harbor, given her repoted 35-knot top end. The yacht is available from €180,000 (about $239,300) per week.
Apache II is also an ideal party platform, whether you’re looking to host a lavish dinner or dance ‘til sunrise. At 44 meters (144 feet), this Baglietto sleeps 12, though Edmiston says she can easily host dinners for 38 and has enough space for 100 people to dance. Given her port and starboard terraces, an extendable awning on the sundeck, and (check out the lions in the lounge photo above), she’s sure to be the topic of conversation. Rates start at €130,000 (about $172,800) per week.
Pure One and Apache II are also available for sale.
