Ever wondered what it’s like to sail aboard history? Come aboard the 136-foot J Class sloop Ranger, a replica of the 1937 America’s Cup contender. She was built in 2004 by Danish Yachts, with the benefits of modern technology but the specifications of her original naval architecture team. This video ushers you onboard while Ranger takes advantage of the ideal sailing conditions in the Caribbean, then escorts you below decks to explore the mahogany-lined interior.
Incidentally, Ranger will make history once again this month, from June 15 to 19 in Newport, Rhode Island, when she competes against Velsheda, another J Class member, in the first of a series of specially dedicated J Class races around the world.
