She may be the smallest of the Benetti Class lineup of megayachts, but the Delfino 93 is no less important to the Italian builder. Especially considering Benetti just splashed the fourth hull in the series, introduced in 2009.
The newest Benetti Delfino 93, christened Azul, got the traditional bath of the bubbly today at Benetti’s shipyard in Viareggio. All of the craftspeople who contributed to the construction of the 93’6″ (28.5-meter) megayacht were invited to watch as she was then lowered via a TraveLift into the water.
The all-fiberglass megayacht has a nearly 23-foot beam. Accomodations include an on-deck master stateroom and four guest cabins (two being VIPs) below decks. While no details have been released on the decor, the owner had two packages to choose from, both by Galeazzi Studio. One is termed Modern, the other Classic. As for performance, Benetti says a 14-knot top end is permissible thanks to twin MTU 8V2000 M72 diesels.
Speaking of the owner, it’s a corporation, in search of fractional owners. Specifically, it’s SeaNet Fractional Yachts. You may recall that SeaNet Fractional Yachts has an international fleet featuring the first of the Delfino 93 deliveries. Four more Delfino 93s are under contract, with the one splashed today being among them. She’s expected for hand-over in May. SeaNet’s program participants will get a minimum of 50 days aboard the yacht, with just four fractional owners per yacht. In addition, owners will receive reciprocal rights to the other megayachts in the fleet. Azul will be available in the Med this summer and the Caribbean this winter.
